Regular attenders at FBC are encouraged to worship, participate in an Adult Bible Fellowship, serve in a ministry, give financially and invite others to the church.

However, with membership there is an expectation of commitment to these disciplines.

Moving from regular attender to member is like coming out of the stands as a spectator and onto the playing field as a participant. There are no spectators on the team. Every member is a player. Members of the church have the responsibility to on key decisions.

Three issues related to membership:

1. Beginning a personal relationship with God by becoming a Christian
2. Being biblically baptized
3. Attending the Membership Workshop

Call the office or visit the Welcome Center following any Sunday service for more information. Individual spiritual counseling is available for any person interested.

Your membership can be processed online, on the phone, during an office visit, by e-mail, or in our Welcome Center following one of our weekend services.

A person may be accepted for membership at FBC in one of the following ways:

• Salvation - those inviting Christ into their lives to forgive them of their sin and take control of their lives, and who are willing to be baptized as a symbol of their acceptance of Christ.
• Transfer of Membership - those who are already Christians and have a membership in another church where they have been biblically baptized.
• By Baptism - those previously saved, but not yet baptized, who are willing to submit to biblical baptism.

Attendance at a membership class is required.

Membership is a Commitment

As a member of FBC, I commit to the following:

• To be involved in Bible study, fellowship and care with a small group of believers.
• To financially support the ministries of FBC in a God-honoring manner.
• To use my abilities in a ministry in the Body of Christ.
• To invite others to come hear about God's love.

Membership Class

We think joining a church should be fun! That's one reason we designed the Membership Class. It is our way of saying to you, "Welcome to the Team!"

The class defines membership for you. It personalizes the purpose, strategy, ministries and commitment of being a member of a New Testament church.
